Software Designer

On behalf of our client in the telecom sector CDI Professional Services is seeking a Software Designer.

Job Responsibilities:

Define, develop, implement and run software for the validation of baseband processing and system interface applications and their compliance with 3GPP specifications
Define test plans for specifications and compliance based on software architecture
Organize and perform validation and compliance plans for RF and advanced base station testers
Produce validation reports for internal and external use.

Mandatory Requirements:

University Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Overall experience: 2 to 5 years in software design and / or design of validation software Knowledge of wireless protocols is a definite asset.
Knowledge of several scripting languages, an asset (Python, bash, ack, etc.)

Technical Skills:

Programming in C / C ++
Radio Application Validation Procedures and 3GPP Compliance Testing
Development Tools: Microsoft Visual Studio
Test equipment and tools (Eg. spectrum analyzer, channel simulator, oscilloscope, etc.)
Good command of French and English, written and spoken;
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
