Manufacturing Engineer

A dynamic aerospace company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. Company is an AS9100 certified company that designs and manufactures occupant safety restraint systems for general aviation.

Responsibilities include:

• Engineering support of day-to-day operations of assigned product line and assisting with all other product lines as needed
• Supporting production personnel, providing and maintaining tooling and fixtures for all existing and new processes
• Maintaining all production equipment within assigned production lines
• Creation and maintenance of operation schedules; writing the actual instructions on how to build the product within the specifications of the design and maintaining the operation schedule
• Ensures all required tooling and design requirements can be met and provides guidance for manufacturing alternatives as necessary
• Continually monitors production for potential process and/or tooling improvements and cost reduction or quality improvement opportunities
• Responsible for designing tooling and fixtures if unavailable in the marketplace
• Creates and maintains drawings for new and existing products
• Participation in the process of the new product development and design maintenance of the existing products 

  Job requirements:

  Minimum educational and work experience requirements for the successful candidate will include the following

   

  -Four (4) year degree in a technical field

  -Two (2) – three (3) years experience as an Engineering Professional

  -Two (2) – three (3) years design experience using AutoCad and Solidworks

  -Aerospace experience preferred but not required

  -Project management skills

  -Problem solving skills
