Responsibilities:

  • Providing on-site and real time Delivery Assurance support for client
  • Working synergistically with Engineering and Quality personnel
  • Coordinating closely within the Engineering and Quality departments in order to provide accurate confirmations of the condition of client-delivered assets supporting Military and Commercial, Production and Development Engine Assembly Programs
  • Working with Engineering and Quality Team Members to rework in-house Removals and to prevent returning them to the vendor, if possible.
  • Updating QN reports and statuses
  • Responsible for knowledge of all open QN’s and location in Quality Review process to keep all client principles updated
  • Using the SAP operating system to follow-up on the delivery of assets to all Engine Assembly Programs, including: On-Time, Backordered, and ANDON condition deliveries to the engine programs
  • Following-up on Removals from Quality Notification (QN) assignment to delivery back to the OEM
  • Providing QN delivery tracking information to confirm return of assets to our supplier
  • Tracking and Documenting the Removals in the Removals Access Database
  • Generating the daily QN Update Report from this Database
  • Reporting the above information daily at start of day and end of day teleconferences

 

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related Engineering study

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Delivery Assurance or related expediting role
  • Experience in the aerospace industry preferred
  • Experienced in SAP; knowledgeable of JDE, a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
