CDI Inc., is looking for qualified candidates to fill the role of Technical Program Manager. It is expected to be 7 month assignment. This would be a W2 position with our company, CDI, and you would work onsite at our client’s location in Mountain View, CA. The Design Collective Program Manager is equal parts contributor and architect of the creative process. You will build strong partnerships across the organization, influence individuals and teams to participate, and foster a culture of design exploration. You will be responsible for helping shape the framework and strategy for the Design program, bringing inspiration from all sources back to the team. You will also track and manage projects, organize the group, and help find opportunities to maximize Design Collectives reach.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Design Collective team to shape strategy, processes, and runway for growing program; Explore and apply successful practices from other visioning teams.
  • Build healthy partnerships within SIMux and cross-functional team leads to identify opportunities for Design Collective engagement and increase support for rotational resourcing model.
  • Foster a positive environment for innovation by planning and facilitating sprints, organizing team-building activities, and creating channels for open design dialogue.
  • Identify needs for process, tools, documentation, etc. to help the team work more efficiently; develop and maintain solutions that meet those needs.
  • Proactively identify and prioritize risks, then create plans to quickly resolve them.

Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years experience managing interactive, design, or creative projects.

Preferred qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of user-centered design processes and iterative development processes.
  • Strong familiarity with design tools, video production, graphic formats and user interface technologies.
  • Working knowledge of project management software. Proficient with spreadsheets or similar and Google Docs.
  • Proven ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems.
  • A strong sense of focus and excellent attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
