CDI Corporation is currently recruiting candidates for Test Engineering Technician opportunity located in Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.

CDI contract assignment assigned to: Eagle Test (a Teradyne company)

Estimated contract duration: 4 months plus

Responsibilities:

Responsible to insure all Eagle ATE instruments and systems pass final quality standards.   This opportunity is ideal for someone who has attention to detail and takes great pride in insuring the highest standards are achieved to support software development and customer support activities.

• Execute defined test processes as part of verifying Eagle testers are 100% operational.
• Configuring testers to meet custom requirements.
• Ordering and tracking equipment across multiple testers and physical locations.
• Collect detailed failure data for root cause analysis.
• Troubleshoot failing systems and contribute to troubleshooting documents to assist in future debug of system problems.
• Work with cross functional teams to coordinate tester usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and 1 year experience or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 2 to 3 years’ experience.
• A thorough understanding of basic electronics as applied to a complex test system.
• Ability to troubleshoot C+ code in a logical and controlled manner to aid in overall improvement on future system builds.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision to a time bound production schedule while meeting high standards of quality and product integrity.
• Good basic computer skills and understanding for data entry and test execution.
• Knowledge and experience with digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes and other bench equipment.
• Training in principles of quality improvement and structure problem solving a plus.
